Article
I: Name
-
- Section I: The name of this club shall be "Wyoming Valley R.C.
Flyers".
-

Article II: Purpose
-
- Section I: The objective of this club shall be to promote model
building and flying
-
in the Wyoming Valley and its general locality, and to aid in the national
-
program of The Academy of Model Aeronautics (A.M.A.) and other A.M.A.
-
activities looking towards the continual advancement of model aviation
-
in all its phases in the United States.
-
- Section II: All special or local enterprises of the Wyoming
Valley R.C. Flyers shall
-
conform to the policies of the A.M.A. and to the regulations of those
-
organizations governing model aircraft.
-
Article III -Membership
-
- Section I: All persons living in the Wyoming Valley, or having
connections in its vicinity,
-
shall be eligible to membership in the Wyoming Valley R. C. Flyers provided
-
they meet the qualifications prescribed by this club and the A.M.A., and are
-
willing to hold an individual flyers license issued by the A.M.A..
-
- Section II: The club membership shall be composed of Junior Members,
Senior Members,
-
and Honorary Members.
-

(a) Junior
Members shall be all those 16 years of age and under.
(b) Senior
Members shall be all those 17 years of age and over.
(c) Honorary
Members shall be those individuals who are voted into the club by a
majority of the members present at a regular meeting. Honorary members are
generally non flying members, but have been helpful to the club in various ways.

BY-LAWS

Article I: Officers
-
- Section I: The officer of this club shall be as follows:
-
- (a)
President -The President shall preside al all meetings of the club and shall
-
act as spokesman for the club in all matters pertaining to it.
-
- (b)
Vice-President -The Vice-President shall act for the President when he is
-
unable to serve.
-
- (c)
Secretary -The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings and shall
-
take care of all correspondence pertaining to the club activities
-
and business.
-
- (d) Treasurer
-The Treasurer shall keep the role and shall account for all the
-
club money.
-
- (e) The
spending of any club money must be endorsed by the club President
-
and the club Treasurer, should one of the above mentioned be absent, the
-
club Secretary may be substituted.
-
- Section II: The term of Office shall be for one (1) year.
-
- (a)
Nominations for officers shall be submitted at the second to last regular
-
meeting of the year.
-
- (b) Elections
of officers shall be held at the last regular meeting of the year.
-
- (c)
Vacancies shall be filled by a vote of the membership present at a regular
-
meeting.
-
Article II -Membership
-
- Section I: Members shall be accepted by a vote of the majority of the
members at
-
a regular meeting of the club.
-
- Section II: Upon receipt of application for membership and presentation
of A.M.A.
-
license, all privileges of membership except voting shall be extended to
-
the applicant until the next regular meeting of the club, at which time the
-
application shall be acted upon in accordance with Article II, Section I, above.
-
Article III -Meetings
-
- Section I: Regular meetings shall be held on the second Wednesday of
each
-
month at 7:30 P.M. except as follows.
-
- (a)
If the second Wednesday of the month falls on a holiday, the meeting
-
will be held at the same time on the following Wednesday.
-
- (b) Special
meetings may be called at any time by the President of the club
-
or a majority of the membership provided at least three (3) days notice
-
is given.
-

Article IV -Regular Business
-
- Section I: Business conducted at the meetings shall be directed by the
President.
-
- Section II: At any meeting, a quorum shall be half of the voting
membership
-
present at that meeting.
-
Article V -Dues
-
- Section I: Dues are payable at regular monthly meetings, except if paid
annually,
-
they are due by the second regular meeting of the year.
-
- (a)
Junior Members-Dues shall be $ 1.00 per month and the initiation fee
-
of $ 2.00.
-
- (b)
Senior Members-Dues shall be set annually according to budgetary needs.
-
- (c)
Initiation fee for new senior members shall be $5.00.
-
- (d)
Honorary Members-There are no dues required for these members.
-

Article VI -Committees
-
- Section I: Committees shall be appointed by the President.
-
Article VII -Rules and Regulations
-
- Section I: Each member of the club shall be given a copy of this
Constitution
-
and By-Laws as well as the rules governing the use of the facilities
-
provided by the club.
-
- Section II: Initiation fee will be due no later than one (1) month
after acceptance
-
into the club.
-
- Section III: A member who owes the club four (4) months dues shall be
notified
-
of such delinquency and must pay all dues owed to date within three (3)
-
months or they will lose their rights as a club member.
-
- Section IV: Fines of $ 1.00 shall be levied for each violation of any
of the rules
-
of this club.
-
- Section V: Four violations of any club rules in a one (1) month period
will result in
-
suspension of membership.
-
- Section VI: The club upon unanimous vote reserves the right to suspend
any member,
-
for what the club terms bad behavior, for three (3) months, during which the
-
suspended member must pay dues.
-
- Section VII: The reinstatement of a suspended member will be
accomplished by a
-
2/3 rds vote of the club at a regular monthly meeting.

Article VIII -Amendments
-
- Section I: Amendments to this Constitution and By-Laws may be made at
any time
-
by a vote of 2/3 rds of the voting membership, provided that at least three
-
(3) days notice has been given of the action to be taken.
-
- Section II: This Constitution and By-Laws have been amended this day Of
November
-
9, 2003 and posted to the web site on November 13, 2003.
